About Eno
Eno's mission is to revolutionize the experience of reading documents in the age of AI. We want to be the best way to use AI on documents without getting burnt by hallucinations. Eno was founded as a reaction to overpromised AI products that put professionals at risk by requiring them to blindly trust AI outputs.
We're backed by a group of private investors who believe in taking the time to build high quality software that truly improves the lives of users.
Our Founders
Gordon
Gordon started his career as a securities lawyer in Toronto, but quickly left practice to found Closing Folders. At Closing Folders, Gordon took the time-tested practice of closing complex legal transactions in board rooms and ported it into the digital world, defining the legal transaction management software category in the process. Closing Folders was sold to iManage in 2020.
After some time off, Gordon revisited the legaltech space in the summer of 2025 and found the developments in AI confusing. In his experience as a practicing lawyer and selling software to legal, accuracy and precision had always been paramount. It was bizarre that storied law firms were throwing caution to the wind and trusting LLM outputs with little understanding of their probability based mechanics.
Seb
Seb has been taking things apart to see how they tick since he was a kid, fascinated by how a pile of simple parts could come together into something far greater than their sum. Seb studied Computer Science and Cognitive Science at the University of Toronto. He then spent six years as a key architect of Closing Folders, building major systems including Closing Folders’ unrivaled Signatures AI.
Seb is fascinated by augmenting manual workflows with AI - never attempting to remove the human entirely. Instead, his approach is to maximize the potential of the technology while leaving the human in the driver’s seat. To do this, he breaks down established workflows, understands each piece, and then combines software primitives to compose the ideal solution. He cares about the details most people never notice: software that's fast, interactions that feel effortless, and systems that simply work. Now he's bringing that same craft to Eno.
